Privacy Policy

OhMyTip (ohmytip.com) is a free football predictions website operated by an individual based in the Republic of Cyprus ("OhMyTip", "we", "us"). We are responsible, as data controller, for the personal data described in this policy.

Technical data. Like every website, our servers and our network provider (Cloudflare) receive your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you request and the referring page. We use this to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors. Server logs are kept for about 14 days.

Analytics data. If you allow analytics cookies (or if you are outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, where analytics run by default), Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, collects information about how you use the site: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (city level), device and browser. We do not send your name, email or any other directly identifying information to Google.

Fan polls. When you vote in a poll we store your vote together with a random visitor ID kept in a cookie and a hashed (one-way encrypted) version of your IP address. This is only used to count one vote per person and prevent abuse. We cannot see your IP address from the stored hash.

Browser notifications. If you choose to follow a team or a league, your browser gives us a push subscription: a technical address at your browser's push service (for example Google or Apple) and encryption keys. We store it with your language and the teams and leagues you follow, so we can send you the notifications you asked for. It does not contain your name or email address.

Preferences on your device. Your time zone, your followed teams and leagues and your cookie choice are saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers them. They are not sent to us except as described above.

To provide and secure the website, count poll votes fairly and prevent abuse: our legitimate interest in running a reliable, fair service.

To send the notifications you requested: your consent, given when you follow a team or league and allow notifications in your browser.

To measure how the site is used with Google Analytics: your consent in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and our legitimate interest in improving the site elsewhere.

To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests: legal obligation.

Essential (always on): omt_geo, which remembers your betting region so we show offers available where you live (7 days); omt_vid, a random ID used only to count poll votes (up to 400 days); and security cookies set by Cloudflare to protect the site from bots and attacks.

Analytics (only with consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland): Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_<ID>, which distinguish visitors and sessions, kept for up to 2 years.

We use Google Consent Mode. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google tags do not store analytics cookies on your device and only send limited, cookieless signals. You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page, and you can also delete cookies in your browser settings.

OhMyTip contains affiliate links to licensed bookmakers. When you click one, you go through a short redirect on our site and then to the bookmaker, and the link tells the bookmaker that you came from us. If you register, the bookmaker processes your data under its own privacy policy, not ours. We may receive commission reports from bookmakers, but we do not receive your name, contact details or betting activity.

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site: our hosting provider (servers in Germany), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Google (Analytics and Tag Manager) and the push services of your browser's vendor (for example Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft) when we deliver a notification. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Server logs: about 14 days. Poll votes and hashed identifiers: for as long as the match page exists, at most about one year. Push subscriptions: until you turn notifications off or your browser tells us the subscription is no longer valid. Google Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.

You can stop notifications at any time on our Notifications page or in your browser settings, and change your cookie choice using "Cookie settings". For any other request, email [email protected]. Because we have no accounts, we may ask for details that help us find your data, such as the date and time you voted in a poll.

If you are in the EEA or the UK and believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country or to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, access to our servers and database is restricted, and identifiers such as IP addresses used for polls are stored only in hashed form. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect the data we hold.

OhMyTip is intended only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
